We love to share stories from the Humans Write community across our social media channels and on our blog - and we have print options coming in the near future. Even if you don't win, if you'd like to publish your story in our community, please check the box “Consent to Share” when submitting. We will notify you if your story is shared.

Yes, you do - unless it is one designed for kids. We recognize skill levels are different at different ages and have a series of teen and kid competitions that adults cannot participate in. To see our "Kids and Teens" filter the competitions in our "shop" by "Kids".

Yes, you can. Submissions must be in English. Payment received for any awards will be sent in US dollars and any fees incurred for international transfers will be taken out of the awarded cash payment.

We understand your excitement! Please note participants cannot publish their story until 15 days after the winners are announced.

For each competition we allow refund requests via email up until 48 hours before the submission deadline.
